Playing Around

Today turned out to be a beautiful day. My mouth still really hurts and I am slowly getting over my sinus thing. After bringing Koen to school I was able to take a little nap. That was really nice. Since I have been off I have actually been pretty busy during the day. Kanin doesn't have school tomorrow so I let the boys play outside after he got home from school. Koen is starting to ride his "big boy" bike. He is doing really good with the training wheels on. He begged me to take them off because he thinks after riding it with them on for only 5 min he is a professional. So I gave in just so he can see that he won't be able to do it. Sure enough, he fell over.I actually caught him tonight trying to wash out his dinner cup. He had climbed up on the counter. I told him that even though he was wearing Spiderman pants doesn't mean that he is actually Spiderman! I really admire his persistence though. He is such an independent child. Which can be good and can be bad. So, back to the bike story, he switched to his Big Wheel. He just loves that thing and is so fast on it. He looks like a race car stunt driver when he is on it. Kanin is getting really good riding his bike. He loves going over his ramp. He is starting to get some air as he goes over. He also likes to scare the neighbors by riding really fast and then standing on the seat. I remember doing that as a kid!

Ouch!

Today I had to get a cavity filled! I thought I was too old for this stuff! I am so sore! I have always been a baby about this stuff too! Kanin went with me and he got sealers on his back molers. Hopefully he will pass all this cavity stuff. Keyvin has never had one! It's just not fair! Here's a guy who never went to the dentist until we got married and was perfect! I just don't get it!

Karate

Koen had his first Karate class tonight. It is free through the City of Oakley. He did really good and had a lot of fun. He can't wait till next Monday to go again. Kanin starts his baseball practices this Friday. We unfortunatly have to go buy him new cleats. We measured both the boys tonight and in a year they have grown over 3 inches! No wonder I am always buying new pants for them!

Cabin Fever

I love the rain and I know we need it but we are starting to get cabin fever!! Last night we were able to escape and go out to a crab feed. Lots of fun and great food. The boys still have their cough but are slowly recovering. Kanin had an art class last Friday at school and I just love the drawing he made. He is very creative. We have a couple of people coming today to look at Keyvin's bike. Hopefully that will sell.

Lazy Day

Well, didnt do much today! Took Koen to school, drove with Keyvin to check out the new bypass, came home, picked up Koen, ate lunch and then just been playing on the computer. The boys still have that really bad cough. Hopefully they will be done with it soon! The sun is out today which is nice but it still is a little chilly. I was able to get a picture of Jitter trying to stay warm. He gets on the fence so he can keep his paws off the cold grass. He will just stand there..... Pretty funny!

Rainy Day

Another day of rain. The boys are at school and Keyvin and I are at home. Leanka and Kevin are heading home. Hopefully they will make it over the pass! I am so jealous of Leanka's camera. Mine isn't working so I borrowed Keyvin's work camera. I tried to capture the rain this morning.... doesn't work as nice as hers!

So, Koen came home from school, ate lunch and took a nap. He was up in the play room listening to his music when he hollered down to Keyvin "hey, dad, do you know George Washington?" Keyvin said "yeah, do you know him?" Koen said "Yeah, he's a president". Keyvin said "you're right, he used to be our president". Keyvin then asked "who is our president now?" Koen replied "Bama". I just thought it was the cutest thing it actually brought tears to my eyes!

Family Day

Presidents Day - Leanka and Kevin were up visiting. It was raining so we just hung out in the house and played on the computer. Last night Daryl, Michele, Trevor and Meghan came by for dinner. We had a really good time. Koen calls his Uncle Daryl, "Uncle Dora". He just loves that! The kids played games and we hung out and chatted. I'm still out of work and so is Keyvin. Hopefully he will have something soon. Leanka has a really nice camera and we played with it this morning. We took some pics of the flowers in my back yard as the rain was falling. This camera is on my wish list! For Valentines Koen made me a potted flower. He made it in preschool. Kanin spent some time with Peggy and brought me home roses and a ballon.
